Thousands of terrorists and suicide bombers have been trained in Afghanistan. This was revealed in the ‘Sixth Summit on Dialogue and Confidence Building Measures (CICA) in Asia’. Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon claimed that the Taliban is training these terrorists in Afghanistan. He expressed concern about the presence and activities of terrorist groups and suicide bombers. Russian President Vladimir Putin took a dig at America in this conference. He attacked the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover. Putin said that even after 20 years of US and NATO presence, Afghanistan has been unable to deal with the terrorist threat independently and this is a major failure of the US.

The CICA is Asia’s largest regional inter-governmental forum to promote peace, security and stability in Asia and to enhance cooperation, with 27 member states and nearly half the Earth’s population. Its member states, while reiterating their commitment to the United Nations Charter, commit to peace, security and cooperation in Asia.

The CICA summit is one of the most important foreign policy meetings on the continent since the Corona pandemic. The meeting was attended by 11 heads of state and 50 delegations including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Palestine, Russia, Turkey and Uzbekistan, Qatar.
