Terrorist attack in Burkina Faso, attackers fired indiscriminately on farmers, 41 died

Some assailants attacked farmers in the Boucle du Mouhoun area of the West African country Burkina Faso. About 41 people died in this. Since then, a state of emergency has been in force in some parts of the region. This information has been given by the Governor of the Boucle du Mauhoun region.

The attackers fired indiscriminately

Governor Babo Pierre Basinga described the attack as “cowardly and barbaric”. He said in the statement that the attack took place around 5 pm when the farmers were working in their fields on the banks of the Mohana river.

He said security action is being taken to counter the extremists. For this, he urged the people to be vigilant and cooperate with the security forces.

According to local sources, these attackers came on a motorcycle and were also carrying dangerous weapons. The attackers started firing indiscriminately.

33 soldiers died in the attack on 28 April

Earlier on April 28, an army unit was attacked in Burkina Faso. In this, 33 soldiers lost their lives while 12 were injured.

Let us tell you, Burkina Faso is one of the West African countries where violent Islamic insurgency is going on. In the last eight years, incidents of terrorism have increased and thousands of people have been killed and more than 2 million civilians have been displaced.

In fact, last year the army staged two coups in the country. Now the army is threatening to take over the control of the country. Since 2012, almost all incidents of violence are being witnessed in this area. The violence later spread to neighboring Burkina Faso and Niger, destabilizing the entire region.
