Russia-Ukraine War: Russia has once again attacked Ukraine’s capital Kyiv with missiles and drones on Tuesday. Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv military administration, said in the latest attack several missiles were fired in a short period of time.
This is the eighth time this month that Russian airstrikes have targeted Kyiv. Popko said that most of the enemy targets in Kyiv’s airspace have been detected and destroyed. Ukraine’s air force said 18 missiles of various types were fired, including drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
These missiles were used
Air Force spokesman Yuri Ihnat said in a statement on Telegram that six ‘Kinzal’ aero-ballistic missiles were launched from MiG-31K aircraft, nine cruise missiles from ships in the Black Sea and three land-based S-400 cruise missiles. Missiles have targeted Kyiv.
Ihnat said that after the first attack, Russia also launched Iranian-made Shaheed attack drones and conducted aerial surveys.
Debris fell in several districts of Kyiv. In the Solomonsky district, a fire broke out in a non-residential building. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that so far there has been no loss of life or property.
Visit of the President of Ukraine to France
Just a day before the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to Paris for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron. During Zelenskyy’s visit, there is a renewed resolve to provide military assistance to Ukraine in the war against Russia.
