The name of the new army chief has been announced in Pakistan. Take. General Asim Munir will be the new Army Chief of Pakistan. Amis Munir will replace General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Pakistan’s Information Minister wrote on Twitter that Munir has been made the new chief of the country’s powerful army. He told that Munir would take over from the outgoing General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Bajwa is retiring at the end of this month. His tenure was about 6 years. 

Munir was appointed Intelligence Chief in October 2018. Munir is said to be General Bajwa’s favorite officer.
