The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has decided to extend the term of the US $ 2 billion loan given to Pakistan. Apart from this, UAE will also give an additional loan of one billion US dollars to Pakistan so that poor Pakistan can face the current economic situation.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif met the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. The Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan gave this information. The UAE President has agreed to extend the term of the current Line of Credit of USD 2 billion to Pakistan, the statement said. Apart from this, an additional loan of one billion US dollars will also be provided.
Discussion on international issues
According to the statement, talks were held between the two leaders on mutual relations. Along with this, there was also discussion about increasing trade, investment and strengthening relations in the areas of energy etc. in the future. During this, the two leaders also shared views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif invited Mohammad bin Zayed to visit Pakistan, which he accepted. In such a situation, the program of Pakistan tour will be decided soon.
Pakistan extends its hand again
Shahbaz Sharif went to UAE on Thursday on a two-day visit. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the economic and trade relations between the two countries. Just a day before this, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir had returned after completing his visit to the Gulf Emirates.
His visit to the UAE came just after the Geneva Conference on Monday. In this conference, the international community had requested to provide 10 billion US dollars for the reconstruction work after the floods in Pakistan.
