Famous chef killed for participating in anti&hijab protest, lynched by Iran police

Amidst Iran’s anti-hijab movement, the case of the murder of a well-known chef Mehrshad Shahidi has come to the fore. Reports suggest that she was arrested a few days ago for participating in an ongoing protest against the hijab. After this news came that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Force had beaten him to death. It is being told that Shahidi was murdered a day before his 20th birthday.

Hundreds of people outraged by the incident took to the streets and attended Shahidi’s funeral procession. According to reports, Shahidi was a very famous chef in Iran. He was called Jamie Oliver of Iran. But, a few days back, he was arrested for participating in a demonstration and then indiscriminately lathis were thrown at him. If reports are to be believed, Shahidi died due to a head injury. At the same time, his family says that they have been pressured to say that their son has died of a heart attack. In an interview given on Irani TV, Mehrshad’s family members have said, ‘Our son lost his life due to a head injury. But pressure was put on us to tell everyone that he died of a heart attack.

At the same time, the Iranian administration has categorically denied any involvement in the death of the chef. They say that there was no fracture in his arms, legs, brain. While the general public is blaming the Iranian administration for this incident. Hundreds of people have taken to the streets for Shahidi and are raising slogans of freedom by taking off the hijab.
