America: Buffalo city in the grip of snow storm, driving ban; Military police deployed to prevent entry


The temperature of Buffalo city of New York, USA is running in minus because of the blizzard. Due to this snow storm, many inches of snow are lying on the roads, keeping in mind that traffic has been completely banned.

Many states of America are currently in the grip of severe snow storm. If we talk about Buffalo city of New York, then at this time the temperature here has fallen to minus. More than 30 people have lost their lives here in the last three days. The government has sent in state and military police to keep people off the icy roads. They are specifically deployed at entrances and major intersections in Buffalo because some drivers are flouting the ban on driving within the city.

Piles of snow are lying on the roads

It is being told that up to 6 feet of snow is lying on the roads of Buffalo, due to which the traffic has come to a complete standstill. At the same time, the Meteorological Department estimates that 2 inches (2.5 to 5 centimeters) of snow could fall in Buffalo on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the emergency services department said officials are also concerned about possible flooding at the end of the week as temperatures rise as snow begins to melt. 

Airport had to be closed

Buffalo Niagara International Airport was covered by 49.2 inches (1.25 m) of snow as of 10 a.m. Monday, according to the weather office. Therefore, the government was forced to keep the airport closed till Wednesday morning. Nearly 3,000 domestic and international US flights were canceled as of 2 p.m. Tuesday. Please tell that the population of Buffalo city is about 2,75,000. The life of the local people is badly affected due to this storm.
