How to Check if WhatsApp Hacked your WhatsApp account? find out by using these ticks

How to Check if WhatsApp Hacked: If your WhatsApp account has been hacked, instead of panicking, work calmly and recover your account with the help of these methods.

The messaging platform WhatsApp is used by more than two billion people worldwide. This app is used for personal as well as professional and many other important works.

So what if someone’s WhatsApp gets hacked? However, Meta-Proprietary WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted. Which means that whatever you talk through WhatsApp, it gets saved on your device.

So if someone other than you logins to WhatsApp on any other device using your number, they can’t read your previous conversations.

However, if the user believes that someone else is using your WhatsApp account, you should notify your family and friends as that person may pretend to be ‘you’ during chats and group messages .

On the other hand, if the user wants to avoid any kind of hacking, then keep in mind that never share your WhatsApp SMS verification code with others, not even with family or friends. But due to lack of information, if you have accidentally shared your code with someone else, then we are going to tell you how to recover your old account.

First of all, you have to find out who has physical access to your phone. Make a list of people who use your phone other than you. Apart from this, it is also very important to keep checking your email to avoid any kind of hacking.

If you get any message related to WhatsApp in which two-step registration code or verification pin has been demanded, then be careful. In such a situation, you need to avoid clicking on any kind of link.

This type of message means that someone is trying to hack your WhatsApp. If you click on the link due to lack of information, the hacker will get access to your WhatsApp.

Want to keep your WhatsApp account secure? Follow these steps

Do not share the 6 digit registration code received on your phone’s SMS with anyone.

Enable two step verification. To do this, first go to Settings, from there click on Account and turn on two-step verification (Tap Settings > Account > Two-step verification).

If you are forgetting your PIN, first of all, enter your email address.

Create a PIN, also enter your email there so that it can be recovered in future if you forget the PIN.

Keep your WhatsApp data safe like this

To keep data safe on WhatsApp, allow only people in your contacts to see profile photos of WhatsApp. For this, first go to Settings, then click on Account, go to Privacy, then go to Profile Photo and click on ‘My Contacts’.

tap Settings > Account > Privacy > Profile photo and select ‘My contacts’

Apart from this, avoid any money asking message on WhatsApp. Before transferring money, confirm that the person asking for money is not sending messages from a fake number.

How to recover whatsapp account

To recover your WhatsApp account, first you have to log in to WhatsApp again with your phone number. After which a six-digit verification code will come through SMS. As soon as you log-in to your device with this code, your login will be automatically deleted from the hacked device

If the hacker uses the two-step verification code to try to hack your account again, you will get a message to enter that code. One has to wait for seven days to recover the hacked account.

Getting a verification code without requesting it

When another user tries to register a WhatsApp account with your mobile number, WhatsApp sends push notifications to protect your account. If you want to protect your account from being hacked, do not share that verification code with anyone.

The arrival of this notification means that a hacker is requesting for registration by giving your phone number. Many times it happens that a user logging in on another device accidentally types someone else’s phone number instead of their own phone number, but this can also happen when someone is trying to access your account.

Pay attention

The messaging app WhatsApp doesn’t have enough information to identify the person trying to verify your account. Being end-to-end encrypted, all WhatsApp messages are stored only on your phone, so even if  someone manages to access your account on another device by mistake or by hacking, then they cannot read your previous conversations.

If your phone is damaged, lost or stolen, you can enhance the security of your account by turning on two-step verification.
