Team India New Jersey: BCCI unveils India's new jersey ahead of T20 World Cup 2022


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled the new jersey of Team India for the T20 World Cup 2022. The Indian team will also wear the same jersey during the T20I series against Australia and South Africa before the T20 World Cup.

Before the T20 World Cup, the Indian team will wear the same jersey during the T20I series against Australia and South Africa. Earlier, the board had indicated that the Indian team’s new jersey would be launched soon by India’s official kit sponsor MPL. Cricket fans were eagerly waiting for this and now their wait is over. 

In the T20 World Cup 2021, Team India’s jersey was navy blue, but this time the color of the jersey is sky blue as well as its color is dark blue near both the shoulders. The same jersey has been launched for both the Indian men’s and women’s teams. Team India could not progress beyond the league stage under the captaincy of Virat Kohli in the last T20 World Cup, but this time there is a new hope with the new jersey under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket team will try to win the T20 World Cup title in Australia for the second time. 

Before the T20 World Cup 2022, Team India has to play a three-match T20 series against Australia, which will start from September 20. After this, the Indian team will play a three-match T20 and ODI series against South Africa and after that the Indian team will leave for Australia. Team India has already been announced for the T20 World Cup 2022 and four players have been given a place in the team as reserve players. T20 World Cup 2022 will start in Australia from 16 October and India has to play its first league match against Pakistan on 23 October. This time Team India has been placed in Group B.
