IND vs BAN: Sunil Gavaskar called the decision to exclude Kuldeep Yadav unbelievable

Change in the IND vs BAN Dhaka Test, in this match, Jaydev Unadkat was included in place of Kuldeep Yadav. Along with the fans, the legendary players of cricket were also surprised by this decision.

Everyone was surprised when India captain KL Rahul revealed his playing XI for the second Test against Bangladesh. In fact, the name of Kuldeep Yadav, the hero of the victory of the last match, was not there in the playing XI. In his place, Jaydev Unadkat, who is returning to Test after 12 years, was included.

Along with the fans, India’s veteran batsman Sunil Gavaskar was also surprised at this decision of the team management.

Gavaskar termed the decision to drop him as ‘unbelievable’. Kuldeep won the ‘Player of the Match’ award on his Test return after 22 months as India took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series after a 188-run victory in the first Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

Kuldeep took eight wickets in the Test match in Chittagong, conceding a total of 113 runs, taking five wickets in the first innings. He also made significant contributions with the bat, scoring a career-best 40 in the first innings and adding 92 for the eighth wicket with Ravichandran Ashwin to help India post 404.

Broadcaster Sony Sports Network quoted Gavaskar after the toss as saying, “To get the man of the match out, it’s unbelievable. That’s the only word I can useI would like to use very strong words, but it is unbelievable that you did not include a man of the match in the team, who took eight wickets for 20 wickets.

Unadkat took the first wicket

Pacer Jaydev Unadkat, who was included in place of Kuldeep Yadav, also did not disappoint with his performance. He gave 50 runs in 16 overs on the first day and also got 2 important wickets. He took the first wicket of his Test career by dismissing Zakir Hasan.
